I got Samantha, my second doll, Christmas 2001, when I was in the second grade. She was a change from Kit because she
is so fancy and girly, while Kit had short hair, and she wore practical, not fancy clothes.
Samantha
is vain. And I'm not talking likes-what-she-sees-in-the-mirror-vain. I'm talking OVERLY OBSESSED WITH HERSELF THINKS SHE'S
THE QUEEN OF THE KNOWN WORLD vain. This causes a lot of problems. She's always bossing everyone around, especially Nellie
and Kirsten, like they're her slaves. Sometimes at the worst moments she'll scream out MIRROR TIME!!!! and run to the mirror
to look at herself. Sometimes, she gets very bad mood swings and starts to cry because her hair isn't curly enough - she's
jealous of Nicki, of all people...and Elizabeth, too, even though they are the best of friends
Kit
and Sam do NOT get along. They are complete opposites, after all. But now, Julie is Sam's #1 enemy ever since a 'best hair
contest' that Julie beat her in....long story. And if you're Sam's #1 enemy you'd better watch out.
